Localisation
Localisation means adapting computer software to different language and regional patterns. These particularly include local patterns, symbols, support for language groups and other language variations. Localisation runs exclusively with the use of CAT tools, which unify the terminology and create translation memories.
CAT (computer-assisted translation, computer-aided translation) means a computer assisted translation that enables a translator to work with the text by using software. Computer assisted translation software helps the translator without replacing him or her. The chief advantage of the use of CAT software is uniform terminology. CAT software supports many non-traditional formats. We can use them to localise websites, translate source software codes, or work with DTP software formats, etc.
